A Lady’s Beach Vacay Must-Haves (That Aren’t Bikinis)

A Lady’s Beach Vacay Must-Haves (That Aren’t Bikinis)

Whether a solo trip to Gold Coast or a tropical adventure with gal pals, a Beach Vacay is always the best way to enjoy summer. So, you’re off to the beach with your friends? Yay!

But first — packing!

As girls, you want to make sure that you’ve got everything you need from basic essentials to extras when you go out. But, something happens every time and soon it turns into a fact: most girls fill up their holiday bags with so many stuff and later find themselves franticly repacking at airport check-ins because they don’t want to pay for the excess pounds. What’s worse is when they only get to wear one-third of what they pack and then leave the rest unworn. Feel guilty yet? Well, it’s official: women are packing things more than they need. But don’t become one of them.

Note: The secret to experiencing light and hassle-free vacation is packing the right must-haves. If you don’t want to be tempted by overpacking, we are giving you a checklist of what to bring which you can stick to. While bikinis must be high on your list, here are other important essentials to keep:

But first — packing!

Clothes and Accessories

Since you are heading to the beach, you will likely wear your bikinis most of the time. Therefore, minimise the clothes by taking not more than five dresses and pairs of tank tops and shorts for a week-long vacation. If you think this is not enough, try rotating your outfits by doing mix and match during the entire trip. You can bring workout clothes if you think you will be doing some Beach Vacay yoga but if you only “think” of it, then don’t bring any because you won’t probably use it.

Clothes and Accessories

  • Dress (for night-outs or coverups)
  • Undergarments (Panties, Bras, Socks)
  • Sleepwear
  • Tank Tops or T-Shirts
  • Shorts
  • Sunglasses
  • A hat
  • Flip Flops

Beach Gears and Skincare Essentials

If you think you’ll be spending a lot of your time swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing, make sure you equip yourself with these gears to stay protected from too much sun exposure and to keep your handy belongings safe as well.

Skincare Essentials

  • Sunscreen
  • Lip Balm with SPF
  • Lightweight Beach Towel
  • Beach Bag (for your purse, camera and other hand-carry stuff)
  • Waterproof Cellphone Case or Holder
  • Snorkel Gear
  • Personalised Swim Caps
  • Water Shoes (for island hopping)

Bringing your own toiletries will save you money from having to repurchase these items once you arrive. Tough luck, you won’t always find some nearby stores during a Beach Vacay trip, especially when it’s a remote area; so, make sure you have filled up your suitcase with toiletries and other essentials you can’t live without. While some hotels can provide you with toilet papers, it doesn’t hurt to bring your own in case you might need them badly.

  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Dental Floss
  • Extra Soap/Shampoo
  • Feminine Wash
  • Tissue Paper/Facial Tissue
  • Disposable Wipes
  • Hairbrush
  • Shaving Supplies
  • Skincare Products
  • Makeup/Makeup Remover
  • Hand Sanitisers
  • Bandaids
  • Moisturiser
  • Vitamins and Medications

Useful Extras

Smart travellers are binging some miscellaneous stuff for what-if situations. Who knows? Since you are travelling far away, you want to make sure you are prepared for when something comes up. Make sure to have a special space free up or these useful extras. You can always bring a cute clutch or a shoulder bag to accommodate these things if you think your luggage is already full.

  • Passport/Visa
  • Extra ID
  • Maps/Directions (In case the signal is low for data)
  • Cash/Debit/Credit Cards
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Portable Chargers/Adapters
  • Snacks
  • Travel Pillow
  • Pocket Tissue
  • Reusable Baggies
  • Book/Tablet (for entertainment during long road/plane travels)

The other most important thing is to get your shoes packed. One of the most loved travel shoes are women UGG boots. But most of the girls prefer the boots to save their expensive UGG from getting dry.
